Brief Description: This lovely two bedroom home is well designed with bright and cheery decor and furnishings. The home is about 1300 square feet, on two levels.

General location: Located in a small grouping of homes on a hillside in the Gallatin Canyon. Route 191, the highway between Bozeman and Big Sky, passes nearby, but there are many trees around the cabin to buffer the sight and sound of traffic.

Upstairs in the loft, is a second sleeping area with a comfortable queen size bed and also a trundle bed, which can be set up as two twin beds. There is one full bath with tub/shower combo in the home, located on the main level.

It has a gas range, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and grinder and all the cookware and serving ware you will need. (The home does not have a dishwasher) The dining area has a table which will seat four comfortably, plus there are a couple of stools at the island counter to encourage chatting with the cook.

Living room: The charming living room is the centerpiece of the cabin. There are comfy couches gathered around the gas fired "woodstove" for some evening relaxation. The cabin has a television with satellite service,VCR and DVD with a small collection of videos which guests are free to enjoy. There is also a nice stereo system with CD and a Ipod dock. There is also dial-up internet at the house.

Setting and views: The cabin is in a small grouping of homes in the Gallatin Canyon. There is immediate access to Route 191 which can take you south along the Gallatin River to Big Sky and Yellowstone Park, or north along the river to Bozeman. There is fishing access all along the canyon, and many great hiking trails to explore as well. The view from the meadow is of the towering Castle Rock Mountain in the Gallatin Range.

Other amenities: There is a gas grill available for barbecues, and deck furniture for enjoying those outdoor meals. The garage is set up as a rec room, with a ping pong table, dart board, plus racks for hanging skis, fly rods and other outdoor gear. There is a washer and dryer available at the cabin for guests.

Activities nearby: Besides fishing on the Gallatin River and a hike up Hell Roaring Creek - both right from the house, you can enjoy hiking, fishing, mountain biking, white-water rafting, horseback riding, tours of Yellowstone National Park, and everything that the towns of Bozeman and Big Sky have to offer. For winter guests, excellent alpine skiing at Big Sky Resort is less than half an hour away, as is nordic skiing and snow shoeing at Lone Mountain Ranch and on the many trails in the Gallatin National Forest.
