Brief Description: The owner, a talented local craftsman, is a collector of historic cabins. Busby Lane Cabin is actually five of them, beautifully pieced together to make one very comfortable three bedroom lodge. Set on a quiet dead-end lane near the
base of the Absaroka Mountains, it’s a great place to get away from everything, while still close to fishing, hiking, Chico Hot Springs, and local restaurants.
Bedrooms and baths: The cabin has three bedrooms, each with a private bath, its own entrance from the yard and a private porch, perfect for morning coffee or for a quiet read in the afternoon. Two of the bedrooms have both a queen and a double bed in
them. The third has a queen and a twin size bed. The three en-suite baths each have a tub and shower. There’s additional sleeping space on a double size fold out in the family room. There is also a half bath in the hall between the great room and the family
room.
Kitchen: The nice kitchen has everything you’ll need to make this place your own. There’s an electric range, microwave, dishwasher, and cool cement countertops. There is a bar counter for chatting with the cook. There is also a gas barbecue grill in
the back yard for your outdoor grilling.
Dining area: There’s a dining table that will seat eight comfortably. Just a few feet away is the kitchen bar which seats two. In the yard is a picnic table.
Living room: The living room is very inviting with comfortable seating, a woodstove, and views out to the amazing mountain peaks. With log walls and lots of wood detail it has a great rustic, campy feel.
Family room: In addition to the living room, the center of the house has a separate family room with TV, CD player, stereo system, and lots of books and games.
Setting, acreage, and views: The home is in five acres of meadow off a quiet country lane. You have incredible long, sweeping views of the Absaroka Mountains in one direction and of the Gallatin Mountains in the other. There are a couple of neighbors
in view, but a nice distance away.
Outdoor Amenities: There is five acres of meadow to enjoy. There’s a picnic table, seating on the front and back porches and on each of the bedroom’s porches. There are benches around a nice fire ring and a gas barbecue grill for your use. There are
also Frisbees, horse-shoes, and some clubs in case you’d like to play a bit of “pasture golf.”
Activities nearby: There’s hiking, soaking at Chico Hot Springs, horseback riding and white water rafting. Fishing access on the Yellowstone River is just a few miles away. You can enjoy tours of Yellowstone National Park and the small town of Livingston
has great galleries and restaurants.
Closest town and airport: It's about 20 miles to Livingston, 45 miles to Bozeman and 55 miles to Bozeman's Gallatin Field airport. Yellowstone Park is about a 40 minute drive.
