Brief Description: The Green House is a new home built into Bozeman’s Historic Southside District. It’s a classic farmhouse style with appealing contemporary detailing. With a combination of lovely antiques, modern furnishings and interesting original
artwork, this home has an upscale feel…and it’s only a five minute walk to Bozeman’s fun Main Street with galleries and restaurants.
Bedrooms and baths: The home has two bedrooms and two full baths. The upstairs is an almost fully enclosed loft with a queen size bed and an attached bath with a tub/shower. The lowest level of the home, technically the basement, has a second bedroom
with a king size bed and a second bath identical to the first. The lower bedroom is our favorite with large windows that look out to a garden area that steps up to ground level. It is bright and airy feeling and the bedroom stays wonderfully cool in summer.
Both bedrooms have high-end linens.
Living room: The living room is on the main level and is a large studio-style area combined with the kitchen and dining area. You’ll enjoy comfortable seating, a large coffee table and a gas “woodstove.” The living room has a TV with DVD player and cable
service, and a stereo with a CD player and iPod dock. There’s also a great book collection and a supply of board games.
Kitchen: The Green House’s kitchen is very well equipped and includes a microwave, dishwasher, food processor, mixer and very nice serving pieces.
Dining area: The bright and cheery dining area has a great bay window that looks out to the side yard’s aspen trees. The dining table will seat six comfortably and there is a table on the patio for outdoor dining.
Setting: The home sits in a historic neighborhood five blocks south of Bozeman’s lovely Main Street. Note: The property has two homes on it. The architect owner, who lives in the other home, is very respectful of guests and designed the property to maximize
privacy.
Outdoor Amenities: A wonderful, classic front porch with a swing and rocker and an additional side patio provides outdoor seating and dining. They are all yours to enjoy!
Activities nearby: Bozeman is a mecca for outdoor activities. You’re just a few blocks from our wonderful trail systems for biking and walking. Mountain hiking and whitewater rafting are nearby. There’s fishing on the nearby East Gallatin and main Gallatin
Rivers, horseback riding, tours of Yellowstone National Park, and more. The home is about an hour and a half scenic drive from Yellowstone’s entrances at Gardiner and West Yellowstone.
Closest town and airport: You’re 5 blocks from Bozeman’s Main Street and about 9 miles from Bozeman’s Gallatin Field Airport.
